Hope Strachan

Robert Waldron

Hope started breeding standard rex rabbits in March 2006.
Robert started breeding netherland dwarfs a few months later.

At the moment Hope is breeding Standard Rex and dwarf lops
Robert is breeding netherland dwarf and some Standard rex.

We do not breed our rabbits for profit.
This is a hobby and we do it because we enjoy it, we don't make money out of it.

Standard Rex:

We are aiming for nice spotted Rex. So far our stock have good markings, not only are they pretty but they are affectionate making them wonderful pets. We have been working hard on bringing out good spotted coats. I believe we have achieved this goal, yet we are still aiming to improve the quality of our rex rabbits.

Not only do we breed broken rex but we also breed Black, blue & chocolate self, shaded, Castor and Cinnamon (agouti), orange and blue, black & chocolate otters.

Netherland dwarf:

We aim to breed show quality Netherland dwarfs to the BRC standard. We occasionally have pet quality rabbits but we aim for show stock. We where lucky enough to have some very good quality starting stock. We breed netherland dwarfs in the following colours, Agouti, opal, chinchilla, squirrel, black & blue fox, black & blue otter, REW, broken, black & blue self.

Dwarf Lop:

We aim to breed show quality dwarf lop to the BRC standard, We sometimes have pet quality rabbits available. We Try to keep our dwarf lop stock to a minimum as we mainly focus on Standard rex and netherland dwarf. Breeding dwarf lop in the following colours, Black and blue self, black, blue and chocolate otter.

We USUALLY have rabbits for sale so check our sales page or our kits page for upcoming rabbits. Our rabbits have the best care and attention possible before they leave. Before leaving our stud they are wormed, have toe nails clipped and groomed in the name of good husbandry.

Our rabbits are mainly show quality. We may have the odd rabbit that is only breeding stock or pet quality but we aim for show rabbits.

We will not be breeding again until Autumn 2009.There are still some babies left to sell. These rabbits are available for show, breeding or pets. (depending on the quality)
